I have read a book which is called Capture by History：One Man’s Vision of Our Tumultuous Century. The author John Toland wrote many impressive story in the book, and when I read it, I couldn’t stop weeping. I am not a person whose mind is controlled by sensibility, but those real story really touched my heart. After reading the book, I had a big change in my history standpoint. It’s hard to express the influence of the book, but if you read the book, you will understand my feeling. It’s worth spending your precious time reading the books Mr. Toland wrote.

Yesterday, I received a postcard which is from the U.S.A.

The image of the postcard is the shoreline of north California.

The jagged rocks and the surge are awesome, and give me a strong feeling that I have no idea how to express.

The sender Jeanne said that the coastline of north California is picturesque, but dangerous.

Maybe, the beauty and the danger are identical, being attractive and dreaded.

Today, I received a postcard from Qingdao,China.

The beautiful beach is the famous No. 1 Bathing Beach in Qingdao.

The golden sand and the azure sea create a charming view which attracts many tourists.

Besides, what really surprised me is the sender Liu can use Traditional Chinese.

Although he humbly considered that he didn’t do well in using Traditional Chinese, I couldn’t find any mistake in the postcard.

I have thought that using Traditional Chinese is hard for Chinese people who are use to Simple Chinese.

But I am totally wrong. I underestimate the ability of Chinese people, and I really admire Liu.

I am so lucky that I can receive many postcards continuously in recent days.

Today, the postcard I received is from Ukraine.

The old photo of the postcard is so charming. The peaceful view is very atmospheric.

According to the illustration of the postcard, the water mill in the photo is located on the Vorskla River.

It is happy to receive postcards, but what made me feel excited is the sender Svitlana also want to become an archaeologist.

I didn’t expect that I can know a person who has the same dream with me in postcrossing.

Maybe in the future, we will meet each other in the archaeological conference or the excavation.

This cute postcard is full of humor, and it made me smile for a while.

The mother in the photo is so creative. My mom never thinks of such a good way bringing me out.

The sender Sanne is a psychologist and a teacher.

I really adore psychologists, because psychology is a difficult subject.

The mind of human being is as complicate and mystical as universe, and make the scope of psychology is as extensive as astronomy and physic.

For me, Belarus is a mystical country.

Although I know that Russia and Belarus are different from their culture, I still can’t differentiate between two country.

According to the description on the postcard, the building is a 18 century architectural monument.

Besides, the stamps are cute and dainty. They are my favorite stamps now.

This lovely postcard brought me lots of surprise and happiness as the card from Italy did.

I know little about Estonia. I only know that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are the three country near Baltic Sea.

For me, Estonia is like the new world, being full of marvels.

The beautiful image in the postcard give me a chance to uncover the veil of the mystical country.

The sender Anastasia lives in a small village which in my image is as wonderful as heaven.

Although all the scenes are just of small part of the postcard, they still don’t lose their beauty and charm.

Besides, I am so glad that Sherry want to be pen-pals with me.

Today, I received a postcard from Italy and I am so happy to that.

Before I took the card from my mail box, I went to the convenience store and bought pasta for meal……What a coincidence it is!

Every time when I receive the postcard, I always have a good mood all day long.

This time, the postcard not only gave me good mood, but also brought me surprise.

Because I didn’t expect that I would receive postcard from Italy.

According to the statistic, receiving postcards from Russia, Netherlands, Finland, USA, China is more easier.
(Cause the “postcrossers” in those countries are in large amounts.)

The image of the postcard is so charming, like the scenes in the movies.

According to the clue on the card, this beautiful place is located on Calabria which is in south Italy.

Andrea, the sender of the postcard, said that it is a famous for vacation.

Hope I can have the chance to visit there. (I must earn lots of money first.)

Besides, the stamp stuck on the card is also lovely, but I can’t image where the wonderful place is.

Today, I received two postcards. One of them is from Russia.

The image of the postcard is about the Tsar Cannon in Kremlin and I am glad to receive the postcard that concerns with history.

The white snow decorates the majestical palace with beautiful color, and the long history colors the handsome castle with mystical atmosphere.

Looking at the card, I feel that there is a hand grasps my heart , pulling me to Moscow.

Hope I can visit Russia one day in the future.

Today, I received two postcards. One of them is from Netherlands.

I am happy to received this card and it’s my pleasure to own it, cause it not only has beautiful image, but also has the detailed description from the sender HJ.

I felt an immense gratitude for HJ, a retired teacher from Netherlands, because of the “rich” content he wrote that make me know more about this wonderful country.

HJ said that Netherlands is the heaven of archaeologists, for there are no huge hard rocks in the ground. Maybe after I become the archaeologist in the future, I will loved Netherlands again in another way.

Postcard from Josikcal (China)

I finally received the lovely postcard from Josikcal who is my pen friend from China.

I got her address from postcrossing. We have become pen friend since she received my card and sent message to me.

This postcard is the second card which Jo sent to me. The first one mysteriously disappeared in its travel.

Jo told me that one of her sending postcard have been lost by the postman and I think that the first card Jo sent to me might have had the same situation of the missing postcard.

I love this postcard which image is the old style of Western, because I believed that time always gives the value to anything.

The stamp of China seems to be a signet that Jo thinks it is ugly. But in my opinion, these kind of “stamps” are eco-friendly and still have their value.

Postcard from Chien (Tainan,Taiwan)

I finally received a “formal postcard” which has a postcard ID written on it.

Although the distance between Tainan and Kaohsiung is not far, I am still happy to get a postcard from Tainan.

This postcard of Taroko National Park only reveals the near view of the valley, but the beautiful color and patterns of the stones and the green water create an illusion of the Garden of Eden.

Every stone is the memory of Taroko valley, being linked together by the green stream.

If I have a chance, I would like to visit Taroko National Park to experience the magic and the power of nature.

This postcard is from Ukraine, and it was specailly chosen by Kira who sent the postcard for me.

By my profile, she knows my love of history and old things. Therefore, she sent this postcard with old photo to me.

According to the English introduction in the postcard, the photo is about a peasant's homestead.

The view of the old photo is like the country scene in the old movies.

Because I am not a erudite person, what I can only know from the postcard is a little information about the climate and culture in Ukraine.

I love the postcard very much and want to get more information from it.

I wish I will become a learned man in the future and get more things from this preasure card.

The peaceful and wonderful future is depend on all the people in the world!!!

Recently, there is lots of news which is about trepidation of nuclear crisis from people. Radiation is really a scary thing, because it can’t be seen and can’t be touched. It’s natural that people should be fearful and worried. However, we can’t be defeat by the panic.

I have seen some people be frightened and do something nonsensical. I feel sad and angry about what those people did. Many habitant who live in the neighborhood of the nuclear power plant need our support, and we shouldn’t see them as disease infector. Actually , radiation is all around us, and it’s hard to keep ourselves from radiation. Small quantity of radiation doesn’t cause any harm, and what really hurt ourselves is our mind. What we should do now are learning more correct knowledge of nuclear power and not being panic. Many volunteers and experts are coordinating and doing their best to solve the nuclear problem now. I feel an immense gratitude to them.

Hope everyone can have sense and courage to face the nuclear crisis. The peaceful and wonderful future is depend on all the people in the world.

Each one of us has feelings of inferiority that are manifested in the conclusion that we are not good enough. 

We think that we are not as good as other people,and we feel that we are not good enough to acquire and enjoy the things that we want in life. 

Very often,we feel that we don't deserve good things. 

Even if we do work hard and achieve some worthwhile objectives,we believe that we are not really entitled to our successes,and we often engaged in behaviors that sabotage our success.

The only real limitation on what you can be and have is you absence of desire. 

If you want something badly enough,nothing in the word can stop you from getting it,if you are willing to persist long enough and hard enough. 

Over and over,we find that our beliefs,more than anything else,act as the brakes on our capabilities.

We have high hopes and dreams and aspirations,but we let doubts creep in and undermine our competence and effectiveness.

It's a fact that we fall in love with our excuses and our assumptions.

We fall in love with our reasons for not moving ahead.

Even if someone comes along and challenges those reasons,even if someone tells you that you have the capacity to accomplish marvelous things,you will argue with him.

 

If someone tells you that you can do far better than you're doing right now,you will come up with reasons to dispute this people's greater belief in you potential.

God bless the Libyan

Recently, the U.S.A. and France bombarded some of cities in Libya, and the government of Libya alleged that  so many citizens were killed and hurt in the bombardment. Despite who was the evilest killer and who was the real redeemer , the people in Libya were absolutely hurt in this intricate matter.
God bestowed the wisdom to human beings, but we seldom use it tosolve the problem we make. The riot in Libya would have been ended if one side of two made a concession. All the peoples and countries involved in the case were only cared about their interest, and that may make the situation more complecated. I wish the crazy war can be ended soon. Hope the people in Libya may have a happy life in the future.

Don't forget the revolution in Lybia

Sience the northeast of Japan was destroyed by the earthquake, the international media and all man with virtue have turned their focus from Lybian to Japanese .

However there are still lots of people in Lybia need our help. Dhadhafi, the president of Lybia, suppressed the riot by using horrible weapons. Many people were hurt and died in the merciless suppression.

Although many Japanese need our help, we still can’t neglect the poor in Lybia.
If you are a humanitarian, please pray for the Lybian and appeal to the able government for imposing economic sanctions against the rotten government in Lybia.

Shan Tao

People in Wei-Jin period advocated the Taoist mysticism , being fond of spontaneity.The Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove were the typical character in that time. Generally speaking, the seven sages escaped from the stifling political life and felt great shame at being an officer or a minister in the imperial court. But Shan Tao, one of the seven sages, betrayed his friends and his belief, becoming a minister who was trust by the emperor. Ji Kang(Xi Kang), friend of Shan Tao, was angry and felt disappointed at his friend’s behavior. He wrote a letter to blame Shan Tao and split up with him. Unfortunately, the criticism of what Shan Tao behaved were not only from Ji Kang, but also from many people in the past, even in the present.

Nevertheless, in my opinion, Shan Tao was not a rotten man who capitulated the corrupt government and was not a greedy person who wanted to obtain right and wealth.

What the notion of Taoism is always go with nature. However, what on earth does nature mean? Abandoning the noble position and withdrawing from the society? Or living in the woods for closing to the nature and ignoring what happened in your country, not caring the world you live? All these are not the answers. For me, going with nature is just do yourselves and do not do something bad or harmful. Isolating from the society or not is not related to going with nature and is an illusion that many people always make.

In Wei-Jin period, the nation was going worse, because of the wrong illustration of the Taoist mysticism. Shan Tao was a good politician, having great ability of solving many political and financial problems. If he hadn’t left his friends and withstood the criticism from people, his country would have been destroy quickly by itself. Shan Tao was really a sage in the Taoist mysticism and never betrayed the belief of Taoism.
